What It Is What's Been Done What's Next What You Can Do     2005 Summit More than 400 concerned citizens showed up to discuss the planned growth of the county. 2006 SWOT Analysis Summit volunteers put their time and talent together to study and create an analysis of the area¹s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. 2007 Summit Four initiatives identified and undertaken by the committee were reported on to the community at a second large gathering. Initiatives included: Health Care Neighborhood Pride Local Purchasing Education American Assembly September 24, 2008. A Special Session of the Economic Development Summit centered on Building A 21st Century Economy in Northeastern Pennsylvania was held at the Scranton Hilton Hotel. September 24, 2008. Presented by sanofi pasteur, VaxServe, the Scranton Chamber of Commerce and the American Assembly, this special session featured nationally renowned speakers provided by the American Assembly.
